Finding News and Trends
Here are some print and online sources to help keep you informed about the latest news in education. Check them daily or several times a week to see what trends are developing. From here you can go on to reading professional and scholarly periodical articles that have a longer lag time before reaching publication.
YOUR FIRST STOP
- Education Week on the Web http://www.edweek.org/
- Online version of one of the leading news sources in education. Focus is on current events, with more substantive articles available in its sister publication, Teacher Magazine. Includes a searchable archive of past issues (1981- ). Click on the "Daily News" tab for the most current articles.(Free registration required.)

- Highlights updates to the Department of Education web site and links to new programs and publications. Provides access to reports on progress toward departmental policy goals and to speeches and press releases.
